Sala Sihombing
Sala works full-time as a mediator focusing on families in Hong Kong. She is accredited as a General Mediator, Family Mediator and Family Mediation Supervisor by HKMAAL and HKIAC and an Advanced Mediator (AMDRAS). Since 2013, she has taught as an adjunct lecturer at HKU ( LLM ADR Programme) teaching financial dispute resolution, family mediation and mediation advocacy.
Having qualified as a solicitor in the UK (1995); she returned to Hong Kong, qualified as a Hong Kong solicitor (1996) and worked as a criminal and civil litigator. In 1997, she left private practice to work as in-house counsel at Peregrine Management Limited and then Crédit Agricole Indosuez.
Sala worked at Morgan Stanley in Institutional Equity from 2000 to 2011 and left as an Executive Director. Sala holds an LLM in Dispute Resolution (2012) from the Straus Institute (Pepperdine University, USA) and an LLB (Hons) (1992) from the University of Bristol, UK.
Joanne Brown
Joanne Brown leads Tanner De Witt’s Family Practice and advises on all aspects of Hong Kong family law, including divorce, children matters and financial relief. She has extensive experience in complex and cross-border family disputes and is known for her pragmatic and empathetic approach to resolving sensitive issues.
A significant part of Joanne’s practice focuses on children’s arrangements, including custody, care and control, access disputes, relocation applications, child abduction cases under the Hague Convention, and wardship proceedings.
A strong advocate of out of court dispute resolution, Joanne is an HKMAAL-accredited Family Mediator and a qualified collaborative practitioner with the Hong Kong Collaborative Law Practice Group, where she serves on the committee. She works closely with families to achieve constructive, child-focused outcomes while preserving relationships wherever possible.
